Round & Square Face Characteristics
Round and Square shaped faces are visibly shorter face shapes that are about as wide as they are long. The difference between the two is that the Square face has bold, angular features with a clean, straight line from the forehead to the jaw. By contrast, a Round face is softer with full cheeks and a rounded chin with very few angles.

Glasses Goal
To add length to the face and either minimize the roundness or angularity of the face.

Good Frame Options
Choose frames that are no wider than the widest part of the face.

Round faces
Frames that add angles, like geometric styles, to make your face appear longer and thinner. Wraps, Shields, Cat-eye, Squares and Clubmaster styles work well.

Square faces
Round and oval-shaped frames will soften the hard angles in a square shaped face and add balance. Aviators, Butterflies, Shields, Cat-eye and oval styles work well.

Avoid
Frames that are too large.

Paris Hilton’s square face looks great in these shields and large rounded frames.

Chrissy Tiegen’s round race looks well-balanced with these Clubmaster and Cat-eye styles.
